Debbie Duru is a designer for performance spaces, working across theatre, film, dance and fashion.
She is the costume designer for Alice in Wonderland at Brixton House which has recently received 7 OFFIE nominations including costume design.
She was a Linbury Prize finalist for Stage design 2019-21, and a part of the Living Newspaper design collective at the Royal Court.
Her training includes an internship with Es Devlin Studio and a Masters at the Royal Welsh college of Music and Drama. She graduated with a BA from Goldsmiths college.
Prior to set design, Debbie had a career in fashion, directing the visual identity for the luxury brand, The shop at bluebird. Her fashion work traversed design for fashion presentations, installations, windows and brand experience.
